Name: Mikayla Avalon Valance
Age: 26 annuals
Brief History: ((Okay, I know it says "brief", but I got carried away))
Mikayla "Mickie" Valance was born on December 21st in Wolf Point, Montana to Patrick and Delancey Valance during a heavy snow storm. But there had been complications during the birth, Mickie coming four weeks early due to her mother's addiction to crank. She was placed in the NICU after she had an episode where her heart and breathing stopped. The doctors were able to get her back, and within a few days, she was stable, but they kept her in the NICU for a few more weeks to make sure that she was completely out of the woods, during which time the doctors ran some tests to find out the possible extent of damage done due to her mother's drug use. Thankfully, all they found was a small heart defect; however, it was warned that she shouldn't come under intensely stressful situations, because the defect could cause complications. However, some wires got crossed, and Mickie's parents never got told.
As Mickie grew up, so did she grow more beautiful, inheriting her mother's good looks, but her eyes and her temperment were her father's through and through. However, her mother still had the drug addiction. When she entered her teenage years, Mickie began riding with her father, and would - at times - accompany him on his visits to a nearby charter of the MC he was a nomad member of - the Sons of Anarchy. However, the deeper and deeper Mickie's mother sank into her addiction, the more and more Mickie began to accompany her father.
When Mickie was fifteen, her father filed for a divorce from her mother; the legal battle was a brutal one, Mickie's mother fighting for custody of her, but even the woman's lawyer couldn't hide the fact that the woman was an addict. So, on those grounds, the court appointed custody of Mickie to her father. This made Mickie all the happier, because this way she could be with her father all the time. For Mickie's sixteenth birthday, her father bought her a Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide, letting her customize it as she saw fit. She chose a deep sapphire blue color, having a white wolf with a dreamcatcher put on one side of the tank, and on the other side she had her nickname written in a flourish font: She Wolf. That nickname had been given to her by Happy, a member of the Sons that was a good friend of her father's, he having said that she'd inherited that fiery temper and protective nature of her father's.
Selling the house in Wolf Point, Mickie and her father began moving around, riding and living the biker lifestyle. It was on a visit to Dallas - Mickie was seventeen - that would turn her world upside down. Mickie and her father were at a bar, and had been there for a while when she told him that she was going to head on to the motel and get some sleep, and he told her that he'd catch up later. Making her way outside, Mickie began walking to her bike when she was grabbed from behind, dragged, and tossed onto the hood of a car where she was raped over and over again by six different guys. The only thing she remembered was hearing their voices heavy with Spanish accents. When they were through with her, they dumped her by her bike, and that's where her father found her when he came out of the bar. He heard their laughter and taunting, and in a rage, he pulled the bowie knife at his side and went after them. He stabbed one, but one got slice in on his knee after which the men jumped in their car and rode off. Mickie and her father later found out that the guy he'd stabbed died later that night.
Mickie and her father continued riding, staying mostly to the West coast. However, as time went on, the injury to her father's knee began flaring up, making it harder for him to ride. They needed a place to settle - a quiet, stable place. That place just happened to be Charming, California, and more good news - they had a charter of the Sons. After settling in to a nice log cabin - style home just on the outskirts of town and a ways back off the road, Mickie's father went through the formalities of joining the Charming charter. The day that he became a full-fledged member of the Charming charter was also the day that Mickie was introduced to the guys as well as Gemma and Tara. They all took to her instantly, but the one that seemed to take to her the most was Chibs, the Scottish biker of the charter.
To make a little side money, Mickie took a job at the Teller-Morrow Auto Mechanic Shop as her father had. At first, they tried to stick with doing office work, but she would have none of it; she wanted to do some dirty work out in the garage, so they let her, but most of the time, she would go do repos and pick-ups with Chibs or whoever else was driving. As time went on, Mickie and Chibs began to get closer and closer, a relationship seeming to develop between the two. Things between were going steady, and Patrick was glad to see this daughter finally getting close to someone, especially after the Dallas incident which he - nor she - had said anything about to anyone. Then, things took a turn for the worst.
Mickie and her father were spending a quiet Saturday at the house, the two of them having finished the 'training' that her father had insisted on putting her through, he having been former Marine. Suddenly, the roar of bikes pulled their attentions outside just in time to see a group of bikes circle into the driveway. Suddenly, every one of the riders pulled out AKs, Mickie and her father hitting the floor as a barrage of bullets showered through the wall and the window. Crawling over to the bar, Mickie popped open a hideaway area, pulling out two AKs and tossing one to her father. Standing quickly, they sent a barrage of their own bullets back. Suddenly, something red and wet sprayed Mickie in the face, and she looked to her left just in time to see her father fall to the floor, the carpet around the upper part of his leg staining red with blood very quickly. She quickly went to her knees beside him, assessing the injury as a femoral artery shot. Her father was bleeding out quick as she grabbed her phone and hit send button twice. She knew that Chibs was the last person she'd called and was in tears when he finally answered the phone. However, she didn't get a chance to say anything as he heard the gunshots in the background, immediately asking her what was going on and where she was. She told him she was at her house, and was just about to tell him to hurry when a bullet caught her in the shoulder causing her arm to fly back and the phone to slide out of her hand.
Suddenly, everything went quiet and that's when Mickie heard the distant rumble - the Sons were on their way. The bikes outside roared to life and sped off out of the driveway just as the Sons pulled in. Chibs suddenly burst through the door, followed by the rest of the Sons. Mickie felt barely there as she heard the guys' voices and the blare of sirens pulling up outside. She heard herself calling for her father, fighting whoever was holding her so that she could get to him; however, her struggling weakened until she blacked out, not coming to until she was in the hospital. Tara was there when she woke up, and she broke the bad news about her father to her - he was dead, having bled out from the shot to the femoral artery. Her world was crashing down around her, and even though people were in and out for the three days that she was in the hospital, Mickie didn't really want to see anyone. She was crushed and just wanted to be left alone. The day of her father's funeral - the day after she was released from the hospital - dawned cloudy and cold, the steely gray clouds overhead heavy with rain. At first, the funeral parlor had wanted Mickie to ride in a family car, but she was adamant about riding her bike. So, she did, riding just in front of the hearse with the rest of the Charming charter of the MC in front of her, and behind the hearse rode the rest of the Sons that had come for the funeral. It was a simple service with a twenty-one gun salute for her father's time served in the Marines after which Mickie was presented a flag in memory of her father. In the days that followed after the funeral, Mickie began to immerse herself in her work at the shop and in time at the MC clubhouse. However, things really went down hill.
It was just like any normal day at the shop; van had been brought in that something didn't seem right about. Mickie had kept her distance from it, watching warily as Chibs checked it out. As he went to start it up, there was a clicking sound, and just as Mickie turned to look, she saw Chibs attempting to run from the van just as it exploded. The force of it knocked her off her feet, but it had thrown Chibs, and she watched as he landed, hitting the ground harder than anyone should have. Jumping up, Mickie ran to his side, tears flowing as she kneeled beside him. As the ambulance took him away, Mickie watched with tears flowing. For the next few days, she immersed herself in work, and her friends watched as she began closing herself off again. After a few days of watching Mickie shutting everyone out, Gemma decided that a visit to the hospital to see Chibs would probably make her feel better, so the two of them went, but when they walked into the room, there was already someone else there - another woman. Mickie saw Chibs for a few minutes then left. Later, she found out from Gemma that they woman that had been in Chibs room was - in fact - his wife Fiona. At first, Mickie was shocked, but then the shock turned to anger - betrayed anger. She cut everything between her and Chibs, refusing to even go see him at the hospital again.
As Mickie slowly began to come out of her funk from the bad break between her and Chibs, another of the Sons began to take up her time - Tig. They began spending more time together, and began to get closer. The day that Chibs got out of the hospital, Tig had taken Mickie for a ride to a nearby lake. There, they talked, and it was there that he asked her if she'd be his old lady. She would have said yes, but a phone call caught her before she could answer; it was Gemma asking her to come to the clubhouse. They rode back, but as soon as Mickie entered, she stopped dead in her tracks, having caught sight of Chibs standing at the bar with Clay and Jax. However, she was civil to him, and later that night he pulled her aside into one of the rooms in the back and tried to explain why he'd never told her about Fiona, apologizing for it too. Mickie accepted his apology, putting the two of them on better terms, but she explained that she didn't think that things could ever go back to they way they had been, and she also mentioned that Tig had asked her to be his old lady but that she hadn't given him an answer yet. However, as things began to fall back into some sort of normal pace for Mickie and the Sons, she seemed to find that - as she spent more time around Chibs - there were still feelings there for him, and now, she's torn between the two.
