As much as Mickie had tried to hide her impatience, it was fairly obvious that Chibs had picked up on it. She could tell by his expression. She hadn't wanted it to seem like she didn't want to talk to him; in fact, she really did. She just didn't want Tig to get the wrong impression......again. Mickie gazed at him, feeling that inner pull that she always felt when she was around the Scot. Oh, there was definitely still something there, but Mickie knew that all hell would break loose if she ever acted on what may be there.
Mickie had let her gaze fall to the asphalt at her feet when Chibs' words made her look up at him. However, he cut himself off as Opie and Sack approached the truck, and she moved away when Chibs pulled her away from the rollback, his touch gentle to her, but it always had been. Mickie gave a wave and a smile to Opie as he climbed up into the cab with the Prospect, and she watched as the rollback made its way off the lot - off to finish the repos of the day.
Mickie then turned her attention back to Chibs, her heart jumping at his inquiry. Dear god, she wanted to say that she'd go somewhere with him - anywhere. However, it came to her attention that Chibs wasn't looking at her anymore but rather something over her shoulder. Turning around, Mickie's got a cold feeling in the pit of her stomach when she saw Tig standing in one of the garage bay doorways. And from the look on his face, she knew that he'd gotten the wrong impression; it was there as clear as day. Dear God, don't let this blow up. Not right here........not right now, Mickie thought to herself as she glanced around at the few customers that were there for pickups.
